ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop will focus on the discussion and review of the “Engineering Geological Soil and Rock Description” guideline, developed by the South African Institute for Engineering and Environmental Geologists (SAIEG). The document aims to provide a standardized approach to soil and rock description in engineering geology and geotechnical practice.
Attendees will have the opportunity to provide input into the final version of the guideline, ensuring it meets industry needs and aligns with best practices. The workshop will include presentations on key sections of the guideline, facilitated discussions, and an interactive
review session.
The event will be hybrid and delegates will be provided the opportunity to attend online.

It will end at approximately 15:00 followed by SAIEG’s AGM at 15:30.
