SAIEG Gold Medal Award

The SAIEG Gold Medal Award represents the highest honour bestowed by the Institute, recognising exceptional lifelong contributions to the field of Engineering Environmental Geology in South Africa.

Reserved for senior members of SAIEG, this prestigious award may, in extraordinary cases, be conferred upon non-members. Recipients are honoured with a certificate and a specially engraved gold medal. The selection process involves careful consideration and evaluation by the SAIEG Council, with the award presented at a significant Institute event. This prestigious award is conferred upon a senior member of SAIEG who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to the field.

In exceptional circumstances, the award may also be presented to an individual who is not a member but has made significant contributions.

The award comprises a certificate of recognition and a specially engraved gold medal crafted for this honour.
